Born in Albany and raised in Rensselaer County, I have had the pleasure of enjoying a vast degree of musical experiences including symphony orchestras, wind bands, jazz ensembles, various choral ensembles, digital music recordings, compositions, and more. I graduated in 2020 from Averill Park High School fourth in my class of 250 students. Music has always been an important part of my life, and my time at Averill Park with my music teachers, Mr. Michael Blostein and Mrs. Sarah Christy, helped me fall in love with making music and sharing in musical experiences with colleagues, friends, and students. I have had the honor of studying with Dr. Christopher Hernacki during my time at the Crane School of Music, where I wouldn’t be without the guidance of Mr. Blostein, Mr. Gerald Zaffuts, and Mr. Chris Paul. In the fall of 2023, I completed my student teaching at the elementary, middle, and high school levels in the East Greenbush and Stillwater School Districts, where I will be taught general music, elementary choir, and secondary instrumental lessons and bands. I recently graduated from SUNY Potsdam and the Crane School of Music summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education with a concentration in general honors. I plan on teaching in a school district local to the capital region teaching elementary or secondary music for the 2024-25 academic year.
